In today’s rapidly evolving and increasingly pervasive tech landscape, it’s crucial to build algorithmic systems that work well for everyone. It’s no secret that the performance of AI systems is intrinsically tied to how these systems were built – starting with the data they are trained on.

Join us for a talk by Kasia Chmielinski (Harvard University, United Nations, Data Nutrition Project) about the role that product professionals have in identifying and addressing the risks of algorithmic systems – from the inside out. They will discuss overall trends in the transparency space, with a deep-dive into the Dataset Nutrition Label, an intervention that highlights critical information about a dataset such as provenance, quality, and potential biases. Join us for a talk that will go beyond the hype and offer a path forward around how we can develop, build, and deploy ethical AI systems for the benefit of humanity.
