Introducing team management: Three new ways teams can work together across Pendo

No single person can solve churn, generate new revenue, or invent the next great product on their own. 

The most successful Product Teams collaborate across product management, design, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success. They communicate clearly and often, they have meaningful discussions, and they celebrate wins.

Every part of Pendo works together. Watch Session Replay footage of users before they submit feedback via Listen, measure the impact of In-app Guides with Analytics, and capture feedback where you spot frustration signals like rage clicks.

Together, these tools help you execute complex cross-functional efforts, like building a voice of the customer (VOC) program and launching a product. 

But the actual conversations that power great collaboration still happen outside of Pendo, which means they happen away from the data at the heart of the discussion. These conversations lack context, feedback loops get longer because of siloed tools, and valuable insights go unnoticed and forgotten in Pendo.

That’s why we launched team management, which includes in-app collaboration, dashboard templates, and personalized homepages, at Pendomonium 2024. 

Collaboration in Pendo: Discussions in context

Collaboration is the new communication layer of Pendo One: A platform-wide update that lets users across your account react, comment, notify, and share Pendo data and content. 

Now, you have the tools to increase and improve communication, shorten feedback loops, and help your teams work better together. React to data with emojis or images, and @mention colleagues anywhere in Pendo to start a discussion in the context of that report, guide, or replay.

You can also tag your teammates to bring something to their attention. Collaboration alerts users when they’ve been tagged in a comment by sending an email, which brings them right to your comment.

Collaboration will be live first in dashboards, and is coming soon to the entirety of the Pendo platform. 

We’re excited about collaboration, but empowering conversations isn’t the only way to help teams work better together in Pendo. 

Dashboard templates: A shared, interactive dashboard

Great collaboration happens when everyone is on the same page, like a shared view of your team’s goals or a snapshot of the most important data for your team’s mission. Yes—we’re talking about dashboards! 

Dashboards can be powerful, but too many are half-baked and then tossed in the bin, incomplete and unshared. It often takes months of trial and error to find data, run reports, tweak your dashboard, and write descriptions so onlookers understand what you’re showing. With all of this work, it’s no wonder so many product teams give up and settle for “good enough” dashboards.

Powered by AI, personalized homepages give you instant access to the parts of Pendo that matter most to you. You’ll see recommended next actions for your role, key business outcome, and even actions based on your previous activity and AI-powered insights. 

Coming soon: Personalized workspaces

Dashboards are great for one product or one project, but your team probably has a lot more happening than that. You’re probably juggling multiple guides, important feedback processes, NPS campaigns, and so much more. 

Historically, your teammates had to hunt for the data you needed within Pendo. But what if the data your team needed had its own home? That’s the vision behind workspaces, a new capability coming to Pendo soon

Workspaces will be a new landing spot inside Pendo, purpose-built for your product team and projects. With a few clicks, you’ll be able to generate a workspace for your team where they can collaborate, share, and view Pendo content that’s directly related to what they’re most interested in.
